The world cup always seems to have issues with crime rising in the country that it is hosted in, and although we may not always hear about these crimes, this seems to be a bit out of the norm.
A South African man was killed by his family because he wanted to watch the world cup just like any other Aouth African citizen would, or at least I would think. Well apparently his wife and two kids felt that their religious show was more important. Seems kind of weird to me that you would attack somebody over something that generally promotes not being violent, although more people have been killed in the name of God then any other thing. I don't see why they wouldn't just let him watch soccer. I mean the world cup is only every four years. Church is their at least every Sunday. Just goes to show that maybe every household needs atleast 2 Television sets.
Even this article didn't seem to get much notice. It's like I said, I think it is because it is the world cup and the crime rate of the host country tends to rise during major soccer tournaments. So don't be suprised if you actually see other small articles similar to this, but so far its been quite and that is probably because of all the contraversial goals that seem to be happening or I guess not happening. How ever you want to view it.
