Honestly I am not entirely sure how Sporting is going to be taking this match. I'm sure they would like to get some pay back from the nil-nil draw they recently just got against the Revs at home, but they do have an extremely important match in the US Open Cup Final coming up within the week. They are obviously focused on the Open Cup Final but they have to realize that they can't look past this game because this could be one of those matches that if they look past and let it go that it could come back to bite them in the ass when it comes time for the playoffs and if they just happen to miss out.
It should be an interesting match up and I do foresee some of the recent players that have just gotten playing time to get more playing time and allow some of the main starters some more resting time, but who knows. Vermes may think that some of those starters should probably be in there playing and getting themselves ready for this Open Cup final which I would completely agree with.
