Comets – Wave (6Jan12)

Tonights game was yet another game that Comets got down early and just couldn't seem to come back despite their best effort. This seems to be happening more often then not and it seriously needs to be looked at. I will say though to repeat myself that the Wave are the defending champions and are without a doubt one of the best indoor teams ever. The Wave also have the most winningiest (yes I realize that really isn't a word) indoor coach of all time. The Wave's head coach is currently sitting at 695 wins during his tenure of being the Wave's head coach. Just to kind of put that in perspective, no other coach even has 500 wins and he is about to hit 700 unless the Wave go on a major slide to close out the year, but I doubt that will happen.
COMETS
- Will say that it is completely impressive how they continue to comeback into every game towards the end when they get down. Just goes to show that even when they are down they are not out by a long shot. At one point the Comets were down 11-2 and came back to only lose 7-11. Guess this would be why some teams are called the comeback kids or whatever. Yes I am aware that they didn't comeback fully in this game, but I would like to think that eventually the Comets will get it right and be able to easily comeback if need be or even better just not get down that much so possibly winning a game is even easier.
- Really need to stop getting so far down in these games. I understand that the Wave is a very good team, but is just seems to be the Comets style of play lately to get down against any team good or bad and then have this insane comeback, sometimes successful and sometimes not. I have confidence that they will get things straighten out soon as they did still play a very good game tonight it just so happen to be against a very good team.
WAVE
- Seems to be past their midseason form for a possible run at another championship and with it being the Wave wouldn't surprise me at all if they easily made that run through the playoffs. This is probably one of the best indoor teams you can possibly ever watch.
- They are one of the best teams, but even the great teams can be and will be beat on occasion and being able to hold off a comeback like the Comets Comets scoring on one or two more of their close shots and the Wave missing one of their late goals, then this is a completely different game. Luckily for the Wave it wasn't, but depending on how you watch the game, say like for example watching all game play besides goals, you really wouldn't be able to tell who won this match.
